Course Syllabus
Training consists of two 2-hour sessions over the course of one week. Here’s what to expect from each session:
Session 1: Working With Outcomes.
This session introduces the most important concepts relating to working with outcomes. Participants will learn how to define success in terms of business outcomes, customer outcomes, and user outcomes.
Participants will practice defining outcomes using a technique called Outcomes Mapping, and will have in-class workshop time to practice on a teaching example.
○ Class 1 homework: Participants will be asked to apply what they’ve learned to their current projects at work, breaking down their current projects and identifying key outcomes.
Session 2: Feedback and Coaching.
Participants will bring their completed Outcomes Maps for their projects to class for review, feedback and discussion.
Session 2 will cover additional outcomes-related concepts, and will provide ample time for discussion, and Q&A.
How It Works
My goal is to create a high-quality learning experience for all participants. I build the training as follows:
Training cohorts are limited to groups of 30 to ensure good instructor:participant ratios.
Classes are led by me, Josh Seiden.
The course consists of two sessions, each two hours in length. (Total course length is 4 hours of online instruction.)
Classes are scheduled to take place a a few days apart, leaving time between sessions for participants to complete homework exercises.
Classes include required homework before and after each class.
The live sessions will be carried out over Zoom (provided by us) and supported with Mural (an online whiteboard too)
